New Training Insight: The Direct Odor Imprint Method © (DOI)
Did you know there’s a revolutionary way to teach detection dogs faster, with more accuracy, and less stress? The Direct Odor Imprint Method (DOI) is changing the way professionals train working dogs around the world. Instead of long and complicated steps, DOI uses a science-based approach that allows dogs to imprint directly on the target odor from the very beginning. The result? Stronger odor recognition, faster learning, and higher reliability in real operations.

This method has already proven itself with police, customs, military and wildlife detection dogs — and now we’re ready to share it with a wider community of trainers. Curious how it works and why it’s such a breakthrough? Just hit this link "more info about DOI method" to go to the next article. ACT! Workshops Return in 2026
In October 2024 I was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer, which forced me to put all my K9 activities on hold. It has been a severe battle with intensive treatments, but I am grateful to share that I feel better and stronger every day. After this pause, I am excited to announce that ACT! workshops will start again in 2026. In this news section, I will keep you updated about the upcoming schedule. And here’s a wonderful teaser: in May 2026 I will organize a special one-day seminar in the Netherlands with Bob Bailey and several K9 friends. A unique opportunity to learn, share, and reconnect. I truly hope to meet you in person in 2026!
